Quran Recitation: 16-Year-Old Nigerian Hausa Boy From Kano Gets Free Hajj Seat

Ja’afar Yusuf, a 16-year-old from Kano state, was allocated a free Hajj seat after memorising the complete Quran and learning its contents.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by the director-general of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Danbappa, presented the award to the young man.
Quran memorisation: How Kano government rewarded 16-year-old
Danbappa described Yusuf’s heartfelt and mesmerising Quran recitation as a remarkable and fascinating skill. He thereby merited the allotment, according to Leadership.
He said that Yusuf, the young one, knows the phrases of the Quran and where they are found in the holy book. He had shown that he was devoted to the principles of his faith.
This was revealed in a statement by the board’s communications officer, Sulaiman Dederi. The young man received praise for his tenacity, commitment, and Quranic proficiency. Yusuf was cited as an illustration of Kano State’s rich cultural heritage.
Kano: Yusuf commended for memorising Quran
The state governor praised the young guy for his commitment, tenacity, and command of the Qur’an in a statement released by Sulaiman Dederi, the board’s communications officer.
The director general emphasised how crucial it is to help and develop budding artists like Yusuf.
NNPP denies suspending Kano governor Yusuf
According to some sources, however, the NNPP rejected Governor Yusuf’s suspension, claiming there was no justification for it.
A section within the party suspended the governor on Tuesday, April 16, for allegedly engaging in anti-party actions.
The NNPP’s interim national chairman, Ahmed Ajuji, told reporters that the people who made the announcement about the suspension were only attention-seekers.
