Personality Profile Of Sheikh Nasir Akuore

Sheikh Abdul Nasir Akuore  popularly known as Sheikh hails from Bongo-Soe in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He is the Founder of Nabiu Rahma Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) seeking to help relieve poverty in Ghana especially in the Upper East Region of Ghana.

Nabiu Rahma Foundation delivers programmes related to education, providing Portable drinking water, and building of mosques to the deprived communities. However, much attention is put on Education and water for people.

Sheikh had his early education at Bongo-Soe Roman Catholic Nursery up to Primary Six(6) and he left Bongo-Soe Primary School to Tamale in Northern Region of Ghana in the year 1992 and attended Lamashegu Khairia Islamic Primary School until he completed JHS and left Tamale to Eastern region of Ghana, New Abirem.

Sheikh joined King Amiin Institute at Agona Sweduro in 1997 for his Senior Secondary Education. He again proceeded to Accra, and enrolled at Islamic University in 2001 and graduated in 2004. He traveled to Lebanon (Beirut) in 2017 for a year course and returned to Ghana in 2019.

Sheikh Akuore is a renowned Islamic Cleric and a preacher, very articulate in Arabic, Gurune( Frafra), Dagbani, Twi and Hausa. He has traveled to many parts of Ghana and Burkina Faso to preach and has succeeded in converting many people to Islam.

Through support of Hay-at Imam Husseini Khairia, Sheikh build three mosques at Abelinzanga, Boko and Bongo-Soe all in Bongo District in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Also one mosque and a six unit classroom with an office was built in New Abirem in the Eastern of Ghana.

He also provided Mechanized borehole at Bongo Soe. He Instituted Nabiu Rahma Institution to purposely provide only Islamic education also located at New Abirem.

Sponsorship
Nabiu Rahma Foundation is supported by private donors and fund-raising activities such as sponsored runs and individual organizations. He also received grants from larger organisations outside Ghana including  Hay-at Imam Hussein Khairia based in Kuwait.
