COVID-19 Lockdown: Queen mother donates items to old Tafo Assembly members

The queen mother of Akyem Tafo in the Abuakwa North municipality of the Eastern Region Nanahemaa Afriamoah Fri I,has called on the people of Akyem old Tafo to adhere to social distancing protocols and other directives meant by the president to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus disease

According to her ,this move will help reduce the spread of the virus from person to person.

“Hand washing with soap is one of the cheapest most effective things you can do to protect yourself and other against coronavirus,as well as many other infectious diseases. Said Nanahemaa Afriamoah Fri , ” it is important to make sure people know what steps they should take to keep themselves and the families safe,even as we continue our long-standing efforts to make basic hygiene and sanitation available to everyone.

Addressing the media at her residence, Nanahemaa said,” this is a difficult moment for Abuakwa North and the nation as a whole but in order to stay safe ,it is advisable to educate the entire Community on hand washing and other preventive measures to fight against COVID-19

” I Nana Afriamoah Fri 1, did not come to squander money but for a good name and identity, women are the people that give birth,we know how painful it is so am representing women to educate my people to adhere the president directives, said Nanahemaa

The queen mother then gave away items including branded Veronica buckets, tissues liquid soap to 2 Assembly members at old Tafo ,Hon Adu Sarpong popularly called B Marly of Ahenbronum electoral area and the zonal council chairman also Abaase electoral assembly man Hon Elvis

In receiving the items on behalf of the electoral areas Hon Adu Sarpong, the Ahenbronum assembly man said,” we have all see how the coronavirus is jeopardizing souls on earth

” As said by our health authorities that washing our hands with soap and running water is the single most important things we can do to protect ourselves, so upon getting this Veronica buckets and it stand, tissues and the liquid soap from Tafo hemaa is good. On behalf of my electoral area and my chairman Hon Elvis, we appreciate and thank her for her thoughtful gesture, said B Marly.
