IGP spotted at Kyekyeku’s 1957 movie premiere at the National Theater
George Akuffo Dampare, Ghana’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), was sighted visiting the National Theatre to see the second screening of “1957,” the first film that Ghanaian actor Kyekyeku produced.
On April 27, 2024, Dampare entered the National Theatre with a group of people in tow, as shown in a video posted by Yaw Plug on TikTok. Dampare was wearing a black Lacoste with jeans.
IGP, some social media fans praised the young actor’s attendance at the event after seeing his movie launch.
Some praised him for his support of the young Kumawood actor and called him modest.
How come? the whole IGP. God bless you, man. Thank you very much, boss.
“Ghana’s best IGP. God bless you.”
“This man can be a good president of Ghana. He is result-oriented, and I love him for that.” These were how some netizens reacted upon seeing IGP at the event.
Meanwhile, other performers like Nana Ama Mcbrown, also known as Ebenezer,Eddie Nartey, Kwappiah, and Vanessa Nicole, the mother of Funny Face, were present at the National Theatre to aid Kyekyeku.
“1957” was originally presented in Kumasi on March 6, 2024, under the direction of 925.
Renowned actors like Kalsuome Sinare and Aka Ebenezer starred in the film.
