‘Why Shatta Wale once reported me to the IGP’ – Ghanaian blogger Kwadwo Sheldon details
Well-known blogger from Ghana, Kwadwo Sheldon, has spoken out about his strained friendship with dancehall musician Shatta Wale.
Speaking about one of the risks and difficulties he has faced in his work, he recalled one instance in which Shatta Wale accused him of demeaning his profession and sent a report to George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police.
Sheldon has been a harsh critic of various Ghanaian musicians throughout the years, labeling the leader of the Shatta Movement as one of their substandard efforts.
The blogger disregarded Shatta’s repeated threats and warnings to cease critiquing his work on Twitter and the “Breakdown with Kwadwo Sheldon” program, among other places.

This continued until Kwadwo Sheldon was reported to the police by an irate Shatta.
In a conversation with KSM, Kwadwo Sheldon recounted this event and discussed his current relationship with the dancehall singer. “One artiste woke up and reported me to the IGP that I am having an opinion about his works and he doesn’t like it,” Kwadwo Sheldon remarked. I had to give up. Though we are good, we are not in such terms anymore.”
KSM then questioned Sheldon over a recent tweet in which he was spotted showing love for Shattuck Wale on social media.
KSM questioned, “But I saw your recent tweet saying you love him.”
“You can’t hate him, you can’t hate Shattawa Wale,” Sheldon shot back.
Sheldon commented, “Sometimes I feel like he just doesn’t get people’s point of view,” referring to the aspects of Shatta’s temperament that he hates. He thinks he is right and everyone else is wrong, and I think he has to find a middle ground. He’ll be alright. It’s not a conflict. Each of us is assisting the other. He probably believes that I’m too young to have an opinion about him.
Recall that at some point in July 2023, the Ghanaian YouTuber talked about how challenging it was to spar with Shatt Wale on social media.
Speaking with Showbiz A-Z on Joy FM, he recalled how Shatta Wale’s statement that he shouldn’t utilize his works again set off a trigger for him.
