On April 14, Atinga Nsobila Joel began his brave quest to set a new record for the longest BBQ cooking marathon.

The young Ghanaian from the North plans to grill over 1000 sticks of khebab from April 12 to 14, putting in 90 hours.

Atinga’s endeavour has piqued the interest of many Ghanaians, who want a taste of Atinga’s delicacy.

The event has become a gathering place for Accra’s young and cool people to network and communicate.

On the first day, social media influencers KalyJay, Asiedu Mends, Kenneth Awotwe Darko, and others who had helped Atinga’s campaign gain traction online were observed visiting Legon City Mall.

In a video from Day 2 of Atinga’s effort, Ghanaian choreographer DancegodLloyd was seen with artists Quamina MP, OlivetheBoy, and influencer Kojo Junior.

Atinga unveils his motivation for his GWR attempt

Not long ago ZackGh.com spotted some news circulating that Atinga had opened up about what motivated him to attempt the Guinness World Record for the longest khebab grilling marathon.

The young guy from the Northern area described his endeavour as a quest to combat the stereotypes and stigma associated with the industry of selling khebab.
