Dr. Kwame Karikari, the husband of gospel singer Philipa Baafi, has stated why his wife has not been involved in the music industry for quite some time.
According to him, the gospel singer had to put her singing career on wait to return to school and improve her educational qualifications in order to maintain her relevance.
He said that she attended school for four years to learn to become a medical assistant.

She next had to write the licencing tests that would allow her to become a member of the Ghana Dental and Medical Council.
According to a video released by Zionfelix on Instagram and viewed by GhanaWeb, Dr. Kwame confirmed that the artist has completed her studies.
He stated that his wife, Philippa Baafi, has officially returned to music after a long hiatus.
“Upon completion [of school], she worked on some songs but we were waiting for the appropriate time to make it known, and this is the right moment,” he went on to say.
Philipa is a well-known artist in the nation for producing multiple successful songs, including ‘Go Higher’ and others.
