Composers of Wizkid dedicated hit song Machala Carter Efe and Berri Tiga fight over percentage

When discussing one of the hit songs that have taken the African music market by storm, the popular Nigerian song “Machala” by staunch fan of Nigerian superstar, Carter Efe featuring Berri Tiga cannot be overlooked.

The hit song “Machalla” was written in dedication to Ibrahim “Wizkid” Balogun simply for the composers’ love for the Afrobeat star, but it turned out to be a massive success, taking over the internet, radio stations, and all major music platforms.

However, nobody knows how the song was composed except the composers, and whether there was a formal agreement or was just verbal as it stands, Berri Tiga is accusing Carter Efe of attempting to cheat him on the percentage division of the song, with the latter also claiming otherwise.

However, after Berri Tiga claimed that he wrote the song and that he stole it from him, skitmaker Carter Efe shared receipts to prove that the song ‘Machala’ originally belonged to him.

After Carter Efe released it and it was removed from the streaming platform, Berri Tiga came out to claim that the song was originally written by him and Carter Efe stole it to pass it off as his own.

Carter Efe has reacted to the claims of Berri Tiga as he shares receipts to prove that he is the sole owner of the song and also shared his chat with Berri Tiga to show the first time he visited, he had ‘Machala’ so there’s no way he could be the owner of the song.

According to Carter Efe, even HotKid had a verse on the song but he asked the producer to remove his verse because Berri Tiga told him he was going to take the shine and now he’s claiming to be the writer of the song on Instagram when he knows it’s not true.
