Nigerians React to Shatta Wale’s Declaration As An Afrobeat Artiste To Storm The International Market

Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall artiste born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, has given Nigerians the upper hand after deciding to be labeled an afrobeat musician, and has expressed his gratitude to the green land singers.

Shatta Wale stated yesterday that because Ghana lacks the genre identity to trade in the international market, he has decided to flow with the Nigerians.

He declared that because labeling himself as an Afrobeat will help him secure the bag of money, he should join them rather than rely on Ghana music folks who lack an identity to sell the country.

He announced this on Snapchat after Spotify made him the face of an Afrobeat playlist on the streaming service.
