The event which has churned out four episodes already, usually has vendors offering diverse flavours of Ghanaian foods, drinks, clothes, fashion accessories, and artifacts.

There are also activities like cooking competition, fashion show, concert, art exhibition, canopy walk, masquerade performances, and film shows.

The evening has featured performances by Shatta Wale, R2Bees, EL, Fancy Gadam, Adina, Gasmilla, Vanilla, Eno Barony, and Kofi Jamal.

On Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, Alapta Wan, who has previously performed at ‘Taste of Ghana’, recommended rotating the event throughout the country.

“We only have some of the main programming in Accra. An example is ‘Taste of Ghana’. It has been in Accra for the past two years and again last year. Consider moving this programme to different regions.

The Navrongo-based artiste, who primarily performs reggae and dancehall music, stated that performing outside of the Greater Accra Region is difficult. She cited limited resources such as media platforms, events, and media platforms as some of the challenges faced by artists living outside of Ghana’s capital city, Accra.

She informed the host, Kwame Dadzie, that despite the challenges, her team’s planned approach has allowed her to get significant attention around the country.

She hosts BoombaFest, an annual concert in Navrongo.

Alapta Wan’s songs include Africa Is Bleeding, Bless Me, Odeshi, and Boosu.
