Watch the attacks that ‘forced’ John Paintsil to sue Saddick Adams, Obama, Countryman Songo, and Christopher Nimley

Following remarks that he considered to be defamatory, John Paintsil, the Black Stars’ second assistant coach, filed a lawsuit against a number of sports journalists and associated media outlets.

Veronica Commey, Saddick Adams, Christopher Nimley, and Patrick Osei Agyemang, better known as Countryman Songo, are the journalists listed in the complaint.

Additionally, writs have been served to the media organizations Omni Media Limited, Angel Broadcasting Network, and Multimedia Group.

Paintsil decided to sue the celebrities because of remarks they made following his appointment as an assistant coach with the Black Stars.

For example, Saddick Adams cast doubt on John Paintsil’s sincerity by claiming that he had tried to obtain coaching positions using fictitious paperwork.

Speaking about his displeasure with Paintsil’s hiring, Saddick said the following on Angel TV’s sports program:

“It was found that in 2019, he had faked a credential in order to be able to coach. Prof. Mintah and Oti Akenteng were aware of it, and as such, he is a dubious moral figure who also questioned the significance of the GFA protest.

“We also don’t know why he is using a fake certificate to get a coaching job. He has served well as an ex-international, but that fake certificate must be investigated.

“We have that fake certificate, so we will pursue the next step; we will seek him to be cleared and not infect the national team,” Saddick Adams stated.

Songo and Nimley’s are related to the deplorable remarks they made against John Paintsil’s qualifications, skill, and controversial remarks during the Save Ghana Football rally.
