The Youth needs a mental awakening- GYM President at Homeland Africa Hub Launch

The president of Ghana Youth Movement(GYM) Mr Kobina Amo Aidoo popularly know as Mr Kobby has cautioned the youth of this country to awaken from negative mentality.

Mr Kobby was Speaking at the launch youth non governmental organization Homeland Africa Hub whose main focus is centered on the youth at the Royal Lamerta hotel in Kumasi.

He said “Mentality, Mentality, Mentality are the three keys things the youth must have critical look at in order to make it in life. We’re sitting in a community where we’re waiting for a certain government to absorb us into the employment sector and that is the mentality we have, it won’t help us.”

“It’s been ages we’ve had this mentality and it hasn’t helped us in anyway, we can’t wait to be absorbed before we get empowered. It simply won’t work”, he added.

He challenged the youth to start doing better with their lives rather than depending on the structures of the economy. They should avoid fraudulent acts, scamming and the new Internet social vices.

He believes the vision of Homeland Africa Hub is a perfect opportunity for the youth to emulate and not to blame anybody for future misfortune.

The launch of Homeland Africa Hub saw great speakers such as Mr Kofi Akpaloo the founder and flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana(LPG) who shared light on the need for the youth to awake and fight for the betterment of themselves and mother Ghana.

The founder and leader of Homeland Africa Hub Mr George W. Baah in his delivery catapulted the fact that the idea behind Homeland Africa Hub is based on how the youth of Africa have neglected our core roots thereby leaving the rich land of ours to be in a mess. For this reason, he thereby came out with the mission “Awaken the youth of Africa to come together to work towards the development of Africa.” Homeland Africa Hub is geared towards youth development and youth empowerment.
