Pamela Djamson-Tettey has been appointed as the new MD of Ghana Airports Company

Pamela Djamson-Tettey has been named Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited.

According to the firm, she has more than 25 years of established track record in Senior Management, including nine years in the mining industry, nine years in the manufacturing sector, and five years in the power sector.

Madam Djamson-Tettey is characterized as well-connected, with a confident demeanor and high ethics.

“She is strategic, has a good capacity to develop long-term partnerships, and has outstanding interpersonal communication and language abilities.”

According to the statement, “Pamela has good analytical ability with a high proclivity for Political Science, Government Relations, Community Relations, Environment, International Relations, and Diplomatic Protocols.”

From 2001 through 2009, Pamela was the Executive Director and Director of Corporate Relations at Diageo Ghana – Guinness Ghana Breweries. (GGBL).

Her responsibilities as a member of the GGBL Board of Directors and a key member of the GGBL Executive team included a wide range of business-critical agendas such as Corporate Communications, Public Policy, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategic Planning, Corporate Brand Reputation, Sustainable Development, and serving as a key spokesperson for GGBL.

 

Madam Djamson-Tettey has a BA (Cum Laude) degree in International Relations from the United States International University Herts, UK, and San Diego, CA, USA (1982-1985), a Postgraduate Diploma (Merit), Politics & Diplomacy from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK (1985 – 1986), and an MA degree in International Relations from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK (1986-1987).

She is also a member of the Ghana Institute of Public Relations (IPR).

According to a business announcement, her hiring follows the departure of GACL’s former Managing Director, Yaw Kwakwa.

According to initial reports, Mr. Kwakwa was fired by President Nana Akufo-Addo.

His resignation followed a dispute in which McDan Aviation was instructed to cease the use of Kotoka International Airport’s (KIA) Terminal 1 for private jet services indefinitely.
