Man Defiles A 5 Year Old And Jailed For 20 Years

A man who defiled a 5 Year old child has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. This sentence was pronounced by a Circuit Court in Accra to a 38-year-old welder for defiling a five-year-old girl in a car at Spintex, in Accra.

John Appew claimed he wanted to teach the victim how to drive but ended up having sex with her.

Appew pleaded not guilty after the charges were made.But the court found him guilty and convicted him.

The prosecting Inspector, Kofi Atimbire narrated that the convict’s workshop was in the same area as the victim,Okpoi Gonno, a suburb of Spintex.

The mother of the victim narrated that on the 22nd day of July, the child complained that Appew picked her and put her on his laps. She said he told her he was going to teach her how to drive.

However, the victim narrated Appew rolled her pant to one side and inserted his finger and later his manhood into her vagina.

The case was reported to Baatsona DOVVSU and a medical report showed that Appew penetrated the five-year-old with his fingers and manhood.
