Asamoah Gyan Apologised To His Fans, Not Me – Godwin Martey
Godwin Martey denies receiving any apology from Asamoah Gyan for allegedly assaulting him during their tennis match.
According to Godwin Martey, Asamoah Gyan did not render the apology to him personally but was for his football fans and therefore, he can not accept it.
Speaking on 3FM , he told Alfred Ocansey that ,If you go and watch the video carefully, he was apologizing to his fans.
You assaulted me , and verbally assaulted me and when you had the opportunity to apologise, you did so to your fans who were not the victims of the torturous liabilities, the civil wrong.”
This comes after he reported the Gyan brothers to the Ghana police service for allegedly assaulting him. He earlier complained about trauma after the incident and was referred to a Psychologist for counselling.
It was also reported that Asamoah Gyan insisted he did not assault him and his words were taken out of the contest. As a result, he apologised to the fans for using certain words.
In the meantime, Mr. Martey will pursue the case and the Gyan brothers will report to the East Legon for investigations.
