Amount Ghanaians to pay for Ghana Card replacement from May 1 revealed

The National Identity Authority (NIA) has revealed its intentions to increase the cost of its registration services.
The increase shall be implemented on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
This choice complies with the terms stated in L.I. 2481’s ‘Fees and Charges’ (Miscellaneous Provision Regulations, 2023) regulations.
The authority has announced a cost modification that would affect anyone who want to update their current information or apply for national identity cards, or Ghana Cards.
It is recommended that citizens be aware of the anticipated changes and make appropriate plans for any needs related to registration or information updates.
Individuals to pay GH¢125 or GH¢420 to replace Ghana Card from May 1
CARD REPLACEMENT SERVICE
Card Replacement – NIA District Office – GH¢125
Card Replacement – NIA Premium Center – GH¢420
Card Replacement – ECOWAS sub-region – US$55
Card Replacement – Rest of Africa – US$75
Card Replacement – Countries outside Africa – US$115
NOTE: All dollar-denominated charges below are to be converted to Ghana cedis and paid
