The most streamed female singers from Ghana for the year 2022 have been revealed by Boomplay Ghana.
Gospel artist Diana Hamilton comes in at number three, followed by Afropop artist Gyakie at number two, and Highlife/Afropop artist Wendy Shay at the very top.
With more than 30.9 million streams, Wendy Shay was included in Boomplay’s Artiste Recap 2022. More than 2 million people listened to her. Her most streamed song for the year was identified as “Survivor,” and her native Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria had the most streams.
Between Monday, November 1, 2021, and Sunday, October 31, 2022, the data was gathered.
‘Enigma,’ a 7-track extended play (EP), is Wendy’s most recent endeavor. It was released on Friday, November 11, 2022, and the single “Habibi” became a big smash right away.
The recurring hitmaker tweeted on December 14 that: “I feel fortunate to be a musician. to be able to express my innermost feelings and life’s experiences via my music [feather pen emoji].”
