The trailer of the sequel to movie ‘Coming to America’ has been released.
More than 3 decades after the release of the blockbuster movie dubbed ‘Coming 2 America’, Eddie Murphy returns to claim his throne in the long-awaited follow-up to the 1988 comedy classic.
The first trailer was released on Tuesday which sees the newly-crowned King Akeem (Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) setting out on an all-new adventure, travelling from the African nation of Zamunda back to Queens, New York, where it all began, to find Akeem’s long-lost son, Lavelle (Jermaine Fowler).
Aside Murphy and Hall, the featuring acts also includes Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes, and James Earl Jones, plus John Amos, Vanessa Bell Calloway, and Teyana Taylor.
Coming 2 America is set to be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on March 5, 2021.
