Nana Asiedu Takyi, a political analyst and herbalist, confidently declared the NDC’s win despite criticizing their flagbearer for selecting a woman as his running mate in the hopes of garnering more votes. He stated in an interview with Boss News that, from a political standpoint, it is untrue if John Mahama believes he would win over more women’s votes by designating a female running partner in an attempt to win their support.

He went on to say “I’m saying all these because by recalling our olden days at school, when a female just want to be a school prefect, that’s when the enmity and defects of heir’s start coming out from the other female colleagues, therefore; women are the antagonist of their selves when it comes to politics.”
