Kotoko heads to Obuasi , abandons Accra Sports stadium as home venue: 

Ghana premier league Giants Asante Kotoko has written to the Ghana Football Association seeking to change their home venue from Accra sports stadium to Obuasi Len clay.

The porcupine warriors wants to play the second round of the Ghana premier league in the Ashanti region.

The Reds have been using the Accra Sports Stadium throughout the first round of the 2020/21 league season and even in their CAF inter-club competitions this season following the closure of their favourites Baba Yara Stadium for renovation.

However, it’s been speculated that the congestion at the Accra Sports stadium has forced the club to Obuasi for their remaining 9 home matches.

As many as five Premier League teams, Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Legon Cities, Great Olympics, and Inter Allies share the facility in Accra as the home venue in the ongoing 2020-21 campaign.
