Ghanaian rapper Eno Barony cast in a movie to be showed on Akwaaba Magic
Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom, better known as Eno Barony, Ghana’s unstoppable female rapper, has been cast in a yet-to-be-released film that will air on Akwaaba Magic.
Akwaaba Magic is a Ghanaian digital satellite and general entertainment channel operated by pay-TV provider M-Net. The 24-hour channel broadcasts a mix of locally produced material ranging from drama, telenovelas, comedy, music, documentaries, and reality programs for the Ghanaian market.
Majid Michel, Yvonne Nelson, and a number of other well-known Ghanaian performers are among the film’s cast members.
Eno, who was born in Tema, Accra, released her debut track, “Wats Ma Name,” in 2014, and also made a remix of Joey B ft Sarkodie‘s “Tonga” in 2014, which catapulted her into the spotlight. She is reported to be the first female rapper to reach one million views on YouTube, the popular video-sharing website.
