Following the death of actor Junior Pope, the world mourns the loss of a prodigious talent who graced screens with memorable performances. Aside from his on-screen persona, Junior Pope’s life was full with incredible accomplishments that many people overlooked.
The Nollywood celebrity died on April 10, 2024. He perished together with three other people while filming a movie on a boat in Asaba, Delta State’s capital.

His wife owns an event and décor firm in Nigeria.

The actor was born on May 7, 1984 in Bamenda, Cameroon.
He finished his elementary and secondary schooling in Cameroon before moving to Nigeria.
3. He holds a degree in Accountancy
When he arrived in Nigeria, he enrolled in the University of Nigeria in Nsukka, Enugu State.
He earned a degree in accounting.
4. He shot his first movie in 2006
Junior Pope began his acting career and made his Nollywood debut in 2006.
He rose to prominence in 2007 after appearing in the hit film ‘Secret Adventures’.
Junior Pope has subsequently appeared in more than 100 films, including Secret Adventures, Mad Sex, Bitter Generation, Vengeance of Bullet, and many more.
5. He was acknowledged by the industry in 2010
Junior Pope received the ‘Most Promising Actor’ award at the Nigeria Entertainment Factory Awards in 2010.
6. He recently purchased a mansion
Junior Pope proudly proclaimed in December 2023 that he had finally acquired a house.
He rushed to Instagram to share photos of the lavish house, prompting an outpouring of congratulations from his coworkers.
7. Known for playing hitman or ‘warrior’ roles
The late actor, although versatile, was well known for taking up roles of a ‘villain’ and warrior.
The late Junior Pope was usually seen with the likes of Emma Ehumadu, Sylvester Madu, Zubby Michael, Jim Iyke, Alaso Wariboko, Gentle Jack, Hanks Anuku, and Jerry Amilo, among others, who also portrayed similar characters in movies.
