CONVID-19: KENNEDY AGYAPONG DONATES MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO ASSIN FOSO MUNICIPAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE

The Member of Parliament for Assin
Central Constituency Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has advice front liners in the fight against the global pandemic CORONAVIRUS to always protect themselves first because the fight will be successful only when the front liners are strong
and healthy.

He said, the virus is very deadly so no one should play games about it.

The outspoken Lawmaker made the remarks after he made a donation of Personal Protective
Equipment (PPEs) to Assin Fosu Health Directorate on Monday, March, 30. The items includes 30 gallons
of Hand sanitizer, 10 Hospital Beds, 100 Veronica Bucket, 14,500 Face Mask, 12,000 gloves together with
tissues and Soaps.

He emphasized that, the donation includes Assin South and North district
respectively. He also promised to add more beds and other equipment in the coming days.

He therefore
pleaded with the citizenry to donate a little they could to support the fight against the deadly virus in the country.

Finally, he advised the health workers to make good use of the PPEs to meet the targeted
purpose.

Mr. Nicholas Fiifi Baako, The Assin Fosu Municipal Chief Executive said, plans are far advance for the
fight against the virus in the Municipality though no case of CONVID-19 has been recorded so far.

On behalf of the Assin North and South District Chief Executive respectively, he express his gratitude to Hon
Kennedy Agyapong for his relentless effort towards the fight against coronavirus in the country as a
whole.

Mr. George Asumadu, the Assin North Health Director on behalf of health personnel’s in the three Assin
District thanked Hon Kennedy Agyapong for his kind gesture. He pleaded with churches, Non-governmental organization and well to do individuals to support the health sector with the little they
could in other to first protect the health workers, secondly, their clients and thirdly the Rapid Response
Team and the Case Management Team.

He promised to make a judicious use of the equipment.

1. He finally, pleaded with the public to stay home if they don’t have any serious business outside. Let
   everyone take his or her own health into their hands in other to support the effort of the government.
