Anne Sophie tips on how to get Schengen visa without being banned 

Former French Ambassador to Ghana, Anne Sophie Ave, has advised against using intermediaries to get travel permits, particularly to Europe.

She claims that some people continue to pay these intermediaries large sums of money in the hopes of obtaining a Schengen visa in particular.

In a post published on X on April 13, the former French Ambassador to Ghana cautioned people to be cautious when interacting with anyone who offer to provide them visas.
She, however, urged unsuspecting individuals to report such incidents or persons perpetuating this illegal act to the police as they are only “crooks”.

“I hear some people still pay crooks to get visas. Anyone asking for money and pretending he can help you get a visa is a crook. Do not reply. Report to the police,” Anne Sophie Ave warned.

She added; “Do not use their services, you will be denied 100 percent and possibly banned from all 27 countries.”

A middleman is someone who claims to have contacts or influence with embassy officials and promises to help with the visa application process in exchange for a fee.

However, utilising a middleman to gain a visa is not only dangerous, but also considered visa fraud, which may jeopardise one’s prospects of obtaining a genuine visa in the future.
