Alan Kyeremateng disclose what he would do to Akufo-Addo
Alan Kyerematen, the head of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), has expressed sorrow for permitting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during its presidential primaries in 2008.
He stated that he agreed to allow Akufo-Addo to be the NPP’s flagbearer in order to restore peace and tranquilly to the party after the primaries were deadlocked.
The ARC’s leader acknowledged that his fans disagreed with the choice, but he refused to let them affect him. He [Alan] further stated that God had told him not to compete with Akufo-Addo in the runoff election.

However, Alan has stated that he regrets making such a decision.
In an interview with Onua FM, which was monitored by GhanaWeb, the show’s presenter questioned, “If you had the opportunity, would you have made the same sacrifice for Akufo-Addo in 2008 again?”
Alan said, “I would not have made that sacrifice again since I was thinking about a lot of other things at the time. I felt I was stronger than him at the moment. I let him go because the gathering was tense at the time, and he is older than me.
“Most of my supporters weren’t happy with the decision because of the efforts and the investments I made, but I didn’t care. Even apart from that, it was divine guidance where God spoke to me to allow him [Akufo-Addo] to go.”
Alan withdrew from the NPP following his failure in the party’s 2024 presidential primary.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President, won by defeating Kennedy Agyapong and other contenders.
