If the Nigerian artist doesn’t show up for the concert at Accra Sports Stadium, the Wizkid Live Concert organisers, Live Hub Entertainment, have vowed to sue him.
The management of the event business said in an interview with TV3 that they intended to request a refund of the money they paid the artist since he disregarded his obligation under the contract.
“We are considering going to court for a refund. We did what we could on our part to make sure he was okay,” management stated in an interview with TV3.
Thousands of onlookers crowded the site or watched the event live, and social media, particularly Twitter, documented their anguish, indignation, and outrage.
The tragic turn of events prompted online users to speculate about possible reasons why Wizkid, the concert’s headliner, may have left his fans in the stadium for a number of hours.
Online commenters conjectured that Wizkid might not have received full payment, which is why he opted not to perform.
However, the organizers acknowledged that Wizkid had been offered the choice to receive the entire payment before the concert.
“We paid him in full, paid for his stay at Kempinski Hotel, paid for his private jet among others,” management stated in an interview with TV3.
According to a statement from the event’s organizers, Wizkid received advance payment for his performance. All of his costs, including his off-site lodging, security, private jet travel, and hotel presidential suite.
