A representative of Mesut Ozil have explained the reason why Arsenal sign Thomas Partey late was due to finance.
According to him the club had no enough funds to sign Partey but had to lay off 55 workers to make up the said amout to sign Partey.
The club was in the news for a bad reason just days ahead of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.
However the coronavirus was also a very big problem which made the Arsenal club fall out of finance.
The club had no option than to cut down cost of laying of 55 worker to make up finance to sign up the Ghanaian midfilder Thomas Partey.
Mezut Ozil’s agent said there were a lot of terrible decisions the Arsenal club took that didn’t help them on the kind of player they signed for the club.
Arsenal had already made a head way target to sign Thomas Partey but just had to wait for the transfer window to open.
Arsenal who tried several times for the price to be reduced before signing Partey but to no aveil and just had to wait until the deadline day to pay £45 million for him to be released from Atletico Madrid to Arsenal.
Thomas Partey finally joined Arsenal on a five year deal.
In an interview Dr. Erkut Sogut said it was very bad to lay of worker just to sign on Thomas Partey to Arsenal.He also said it doesn’t look nice if people from outside the club speak on behalf of the club then it doesn’t give a good picture.
Then then also said Mesut Ozil was left out of the Arsenal squad which means his football career at Arsenal is over.
