(VIDEO) We stood against our own colleague to campaign for Nana Addo because we love him-Prince David Osei

Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has said that the love he and his other colleagues had for Nana Addo and his policies was the reason they stopped at nothing to campaign for him to win the 2020 elections.

The actor came under fire when he suggested that the government needs to reconsider the decision to tax Ghanaians to enable them to get the economy back on track after spending so much in providing free water and electricity to them during the lockdown period.

For him, they could use other means to get the money but to ask them to pay for it is something that he sees not to be fair and that the government needs to put a halt to it.

People took his criticism to mean that he didn’t love the government and the president Nana Addo, but reacting to the issues that arose from his admonishment, he said that he loves Nana Addo so much and his belief in the policies that he put forward was what made him and his friends campaign vigorously for his re-election.

According to Prince David Osei, who said in a video he uploaded on his Instagram page, they had to go against their own brother and colleague in the movie industry, John Setor Dumelo, to campaign for Nana and the NPP.

Prince David Osei added that they campaigned even on election day just so that they canvass more votes for Nana to win the election to enable him to implement his policies.

He reiterated that they add their voice when certain things come up because they want the government led by Nana Addo to succeed.
