Uzbekistan beat Black Stars B in 2-1 international friendly:

Black Stars B suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Uzbekistan in a friendly match played in front of 25,000 fans at Markaziy Stadium in Namangan on Friday afternoon.

The Black Stars looked unsettled early in the game and found themselves at the wrong side when goalkeeper Joseph Addo’s misplaced pass went straight to Otabek Shukurov who made no mistake to put the host ahead.

The Black Stars after conceding came to light and enjoyed a fare share of the possession.

Uzbekistan however looked more purposeful upfront as they created numerous opportunities but for the alert figure of goalkeeper Joseph Addo.

U-20 Africa Cup of Nations star Fatawu Issahaku scored a free-kick to get a consolation goal for the local stars.
