Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez faces 22 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion
Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez, has been convicted guilty of shooting American rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020 by a jury in Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, Daystar Peterson popularly known by his stage name Tory Lanez was found guilty of three felonies for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
When Tory Lanez got out of the vehicle a few minutes after an argument, Megan Thee Stallion accused him of shooting her leg. Megan said throughout the trial that there was tension in the car between her, Lanez, and her former friend and assistant, Kelsey Harris.
According to Megan, her argument with Lanez surrounds an accusation that the latter had had an intimate affair with Harris. When the argument was getting heated, Megan said she had to exit the car when Lanez shot her.
“I started walking away and I hear Tory yell, ‘Dance, b***h,” she tearfully testified, according to Billboard. “I froze. I just felt shocked. I felt hurt. I looked down at my feet and I see all of this blood.”
