QATAR 2022 World Cup: Stonebwoy entertains music lovers at FIFA Fan Festival in Qatar

On Friday, December 16, 2022, the acclaimed Ghanaian artist Livingstone Etse Satekla, commonly known as Stonebwoy, performed on one of his career’s largest stages.

At the Fan Festival before the third-place and championship match, the CEO of Burniton Music entertained music enthusiasts and soccer supporters who had congregated in Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with his calming music.

When Stonebwoy entered the stage in the nation, he did so in great fashion as always, establishing his reputation as one of the top musicians in Africa.

He played his numerous songs back-to-back for more than an hour in front of adoring fans who were plainly insatiable with him.

One of the highlights of Stonebwoy’s performance on the FIFA Fan Fest stage, in addition to his amazing performance, was when he asked the audience to say a prayer for Nigerian superstar Davido after the tragic loss of his son, David Ifeanyi Adeleke, to the cold hands of death by drowning a few weeks ago.

During the FIFA World Cup, FIFA and the host cities offer public watching activities called FIFA Fan Festivals. Following the popularity of public watching during the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea, FIFA Fan Festivals (formerly known as FIFA Fan Fests) evolved into a crucial component of the competition starting with the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
