FC Seoul apologise for filling stands with sex dolls

South Korean club FC Seoul have apologised for placing sex dolls in the stands during a game last Sunday.

With fans not allowed into stadiums for the remainder of the football season, Seoul sought to create an atmosphere by dressing the dolls in the club’s jerseys during their recent K-league fixture.

However, an avalanche of criticism on social media, the club defended the move.

Seoul claimed that they were led to believe that they were in fact simple mannequins by the manufacturing company as opposed to dolls with sexual connotations.

Nevertheless, the makeshift spectators didn’t harm the team’s on-field efforts as Seoul ran out 1-0 winners over Gwangju FC at the World Cup Stadium.
