Kwabena Kwabena reveals he has never been signed by a record label since he started music
Kwabena Kwabena, the ace Ghanaian High-Life musician, has revealed that he has never had a deal or contract with any record company, either locally or abroad, since he began his music career.
In an interview on United Television’s (UTV) Atuu show, the “Asor” hitmaker responded to the host, Abeiku Aggrey Santana, who inquired about his music career, saying that he has been helped by many individuals in his music journey but has never signed a deal with a record company.
KBKB narrated how he started his music career and below is his story in his beginning
“It all started in 1998, when I finished my degree “Construction Technology” at Accra Polytechnic, I was playing football and singing music at the same time, and when I missed the trial for Winneba’s under 20 team, my mother advised me to concentrate on my study.”
“From 1999 to 2000, Hush Hush Studio entered the system, and a friend of mine, on whose demo I did a verse, presented his song to them, and they asked who did that verse, and he mentioned me, and they requested to see me, my boy pressured me to go see them, and they asked me if I was the guy behind the voice.” – Kwabena Kwabena elucidates
