Shatta Wale’s pull-out comes barely two days to the main event of the soundclash
The Asaase Soundclash is expected to pitch Shatta Wale against Stonebwoy in a lyrical battle
Barring any last-minute intervention, Shatta Wale may not participate in the Asaase Soundclash with Stonebwoy.
The Dancehall star, in a post on Facebook, has indicated that he is pulling out of the lyrical battle with Stonebwoy.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are expected to engage in a lyrical battle on Asaase Radio, a newly-opened radio station in Accra, on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Dubbed Clash2CrushCOVID, the Asaase Soundclash forms part of the station’s efforts at raising awareness against COVID-19.
As part of the battle, a fan voting process was opened and Shatta Wale had encouraged his fans to participate.
Shatta Wale had shared a screenshot of the voting results which had him leading Stonebwoy by over 4,000 votes.
But a little over 12 hours after promoting the soundclash, Shatta Wale has said he is no more interested in the competition.
Announcing his decision to quit, Shatta Wale insinuated that there were some attempts to influence the process to make his opponent win.
Another VGMA strategy for a clash. Trying so hard to make their favourite win. Infact, I am not even doing this anymore for your info. Nonsense!!!”
A few hours after the angry post, Shatta Wale has pulled it down but a screen shot was captured.
However, he has not indicated whether he will carry out his decision of pulling out or will go head with the competition.
It is not known what triggered Shatta Wale’s pull-out post but coming at a time that Stonebwoy has overtaken him with an even wider margin, there are suggestions that he is displeased by that.
Stonebwoy managed to overturn the votes within a few hours after Shatta Wale’s lead became public.
At the time of our reported Stonebwoy was leading Shatta Wale by a whopping 11,000 votes meaning he made got 15,000 votes more than Shatta Wale within a short time.
Meanwhile, the two Dancehall music stars were recently spotted spending time together in a new video.
