Shatta Wale plead with bloggers not to upload his G.O.G album for free.

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale, is pleading with Ghanaian bloggers not to upload his upcoming album on their blogs for free downloads but they should let the fans stream it.

In Ghana, aside shows and performances, musicians make most of their revenue through streaming platforms. So when bloggers takes it to the fans free, it reduces their revenue.

Unfortunately, Ghanaians prefer to download music onto their phone than stream it each time they want to listen. This habit has been aided by some entertainment blogs whose main objective is to make music available to listeners for free.

In a tweet sighted by zackgh.com the “Gringo” hitmaker has asked bloggers not to upload his upcoming album for free downloads. He promised to reward those who will comply by his directives.

He tweeted “Blogs that will not publish the song for free downloads will win something big !! but those who will try ….no free downloads , let’s all help to push the official links out there #BlowUp #GOGALBUM,”.
