Sandra Ankobiah and Nana Aba Anamoah react to earth tremor which occured in parts of Accra

On December 12, 2022, a 4.0-magnitude earth tremor was felt in several areas of Accra, the capital of Ghana.

Since then, Ghanaians have reacted to this event in various ways, especially some celebrities like media personality Nana Aba Anamoah and lawyer-turned-socialite Sandra Ankobiah.

Around 11:53 am, there was an earth tremor. Netizens in the impacted areas flocked to Twitter to share their experiences, notably with how violently the ground shook.

Following the comments that later inundated Twitter, Nana Aba commented on her wall: “Ei. Did you feel it?” while Sandra Ankobiah added, “Eii what was that? Has anyone else experienced it?

Joselyn Dumas, a well-known actress, also wrote: “Who else felt the Earth Tremor? …. because I didn’t.”

The phrase, ‘Did you feel it’ became a common on Twitter, thereby shooting #EarthTremor to number one on the trends list.

Another response was made by news editor Kwame Amoh, who wrote; “Earth tremor in Accra. Or I am the only one who felt it?”

Intriguingly, a netizen also related a story of how he saw some workers swarming out of an office because they were afraid the structure may fall on them. He said, “They came out from their office because they felt the building would collapse.”
