Chelsea’s owner, Roman Abramovich and the club have issued an official statement regarding the conflict in Ukraine.

The devastating Russia-Ukraine conflict has become the talk of the town and a trending topic on both traditional and social media, with netizens sharing their perspectives on the conflict, as well as other high-profile public figures, with the majority of people rallying behind Ukraine with much prayer.

Roman Abramovich, the owner of Chelsea and a Russian billionaire, has also issued a statement on behalf of the entire giant English football club, Chelsea FC, regarding the conflict in Ukraine.

Abramovich’s statement is as follows:

“During my nearly 20 years ownership of Chelsea FC, I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the Club, whose job it is ensuring that we are successful as we can also playing a positive role in our communities. I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart. I remain committed to these values. That is why I am today giving trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation the stewardship and care of Chelsea Football Club.
