Rockcity Debunks Allegations From a Guy Who Claims To Be Writing Songs For Them.

Over the week,zackgh.com followed a certain developing story with regards to an allegation made by a social media person known as Franklin BitterTruth, that one Isaac Ayuuretoliya Agama also known as Jay Iyke, writes songs for RockCity a popular music group and the current winners of Upper East artist of the year in the 2020 edition of Northern Entertainment Awards(NEA).

According to Franklin Bitter Truth,he only asked Jay Iyke why he doesn’t want to go solo but always attaching himself to RockCity and Iyke claimed that it is RockCity who doesn’t want him to go because he is the one writing songs for them.

The allegations attracted much attention of music lovers of the region wanting to know the reality of the story.

Rockcity therefore took to their Facebook page and issued this statement:

“Good morning ladies and gentlemen,You may have followed a certain developing story with regards to an allegation made by a social media person known as Franklin BitterTruth, that one Isaac Ayuuretoliya Agama also known as Jay Iyke, writes songs for our crew.

The exchange is still on but we think we have seen enough to make certain facts clear.”

1. WE(ROCKCITY) WANT TO STATE EMPHATICALLY THAT WE HAVE NEVER HAD AN ARRANGEMENT WITH JAY IYKE WITH REGARDS TO OUR MUSIC.

2. HE(JAY IKE) HAS NEVER WRITTEN A SONG FOR OUR CREW. HE ONLY CAME TO US AS A YOUNGER BROTHER FOR A COLLABORATION IN THE PAST.

3. ALSO, IT IS ALREADY COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT HE IS NOT A MEMBER OF THE CREW BUT IS A BROTHER. WE HAVE NEVER PREVENTED HIM FROM DOING HIS MUSIC IN ANY WAY.

4. ASIDE JAY IYKE, WE ALSO WANT THE PUBLIC TO KNOW THAT WE WRITE ALL OUR SONGS, APART FROM THE VERSES OR CHORUSES DONE BY FEATURED ARTISTES.

As professional as we try to be, we know we can definitely make use of songwriters just like many artistes do, but this isn’t the case with Jay Iyke. As and when anyone does that write for us, we would gladly acknowledge that.

We RockCity are saddened by this development and are taking the necessary steps to get to the bottom of this issue to ascertain the veracity of these claims on our brand.
