Ghanaian actress and social media freak, Efia Odo has advised Ghanaian musicians to endeavor to put more thought and effort into their music.
According to her, they just have what it takes in the form of talent, but what is lacking is the thought, and efforts that should be put into making music that triggers people to support and push them to higher heights.
The past days have seen Ghanaian musicians taking center stage for their inability to make any forrays into the Grammys, particularly because Nigerian artists have broken through in that regard with a couple of them winning awards at Sunday’s ceremony.
To Efia Odo, music is spiritual, and that people will always support what they are spiritually connected to.
This means that when they put more thought and effort into making good music, people will definitely support them.
She is of the view that Ghanaian musicians have got it in them to make good music, they just need to sit up, work hard, be thoughtful about the sort of music they make, and they will be just fine.
Efia Odo gave the advice on Twitter. She wrote:
“More money should be spent on marketing music and making creative music videos. More thought & effort should go into better music because we got this, it’s in us. People support good music. Music is spiritual and people will support anything they are spiritually connected to.”
