President Akufo-Addo Cares For Every Ghanaian – Chief Of Staff

The Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Mrs Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, has stated that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has every part of the country at heart and has distributed resources and development evenly to every corner.

“Akufo-Addo is one leader that thinks of everybody’s interests. He looks at what will benefit the whole country. He doesn’t think in a parochial manner. He looks at what will benefit the whole nation,” she added.

The Chief of Staff stated this when he addressed the press after he had gone through the voter registration process at the Abotsiman Presbyterian JHS, East Legon registration center in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in Accra.

Mrs Osei-Opare who is the first female Chief of Staff was also the Member of Parliament for the constituency from 2005-2013 under the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

She cited government’s flagship programmes such as the Free Senior High School (Free SHS), and said since its introduction it had increased intake in secondary schools and benefitted parents and students from every corner of the country.

She mentioned the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme, and explained that this had also benefited university graduates from all over the country and added the that recent decisions of government to give free water and electricity to the people of Ghana to cushion them during the COVID-19 pandemic were all indications that the President had a fatherly heart.

Registration

The Chief of Staff called on all Ghanaians who were qualified to register to take the opportunity of the few days left to register so that they would be able to cast their ballot come December 7 and that they should not to pay heed to naysayers.

She said this was necessary because the 2020 election was a crucial exercise that would impact greatly on the development direction of the country and every Ghanaian must endeavor to participate in it.

“I want to encourage everyone who is yet to register to come out and have a voice because if you don’t have a voice, you may see something that you don’t want to see,” Mrs Osei-Opare stated.

EC

She commended the Electoral Commission (EC) and the registration officials for their professionalism and patriotism in the manner they have been going about the registration exercise.

The Chief of Staff also visited several registration centres in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the company of the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Constituency, Madam Lydia Alhassan
