All Peoples Congress (APC) presidential candidate for election 2020, Hassan Ayariga, has advised disqualified presidential aspirants not to sue the Electoral Commission (EC) over their disqualification.
Mr. Hassan Ayariga described such an attempt as a waste of time and waste of hard earned resources.
The Electoral Commission has disqualified five flagbearers who filed in their.nomination to contest this year’s presidential elections.
The five include Kwesi Addai Odike, Kofi Koranteng, Kofi Game, Kwesi Busumbru and Nana Agyenim Boateng.
On Monday October 19, the Chairwoman of the EC, Jean Mensa spoke with the media. She however briefed them on issues relating to the disqualification of the five aspirants.
She added that all other cases pertaining to criminality will be reported to the Ghana Police Service for further investigations.
Mr Game, who is one of the disqualified presidential aspirants opined that he was given the opportunity to correct the errors on his forms and so is baffled as to why he is disqualified. Therefore, he will head to court on the matter.
Mr. Hassan Ayariga, who was speaking in an interview with Berla Mundi on the Elections 360 programme on TV3 said that he suffered same ordeal in the 2016 elections and so he sympathies with the disqualified aspirants and advices that they should stay away from the court. It is a waste of time.
