The Abirem Constituency Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Easten Region, Alhaji Nurudeen Fuseini, has thrown a word of advise and caution to the President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo who doubles as the Presidential Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party in the upcoming General elections.
Alhaji Fuseini wants Nana Addo to honorably withdraw from the Presidential polls slated for December this year to avoid a glaring embarrassment owing to the many failed and broken promises he has superintended over in the last three and half years.
The business mogul in an interview with Zackgh.com believes Nana Addo will do himself and the New Patriotic Party a great service if he eats humble pie and throw in the towel before Ghanaians unleash their anger on him by voting massively against him in the impending Presidential elections.
Citing some reasons why Ghanaians cannot trust the incumbent president and his government to properly manage the country’s economy, the young and energetic Constituency Chairman said the ballooning of the National debt from GHc120bn in 2016 to GHc260bn in less than 4years with virtually nothing to show, increment of petrol price from GHc13 in 2016 to GHc25 in 2020 and the free fall of the Cedi against the dollar and other major currencies is a testament to Nana Addo’s poor handling of the Ghanaian economy.
Mentioning some other reasons why Ghanaians are angry and are more than ready to vote out Nana Addo and his incompetent ‘old’ men, Chairman Nurudeen opined that the failure of the incumbent government to build any major hospital as against the 20 built by the erstwhile JDM administration, failure of the incumbent government to construct new Senior High Schools as against the 123 built by the JDM administration, failure of the incumbent government to build any airport as against 4 constructed by the past JDM administration were some of the few comparative analysis Ghanaians will make in booting out the deceptive ruling government.
Throwing more light on what the new JDM administration will bring on the table, Alhaji Nurudeen reiterated that the next JDM administration will pay all customers of the collapsed financial institutions whose monies are locked-up in full and restore indigenous Ghanaian participation in the financial sector, reduce the size of government to avoid waste, provide free TVET education, construct regional hospitals for the newly created regions, provide free primary healthcare, abolish the dreaded double-track system of secondary education and establish University campuses in each of the six(6) newly-created regions, among many others.
Chairman Nurudeen accentuated that the previous record of H.E John Dramani Mahama which includes but not limited to, the construction of the University of Ghana Medical Centre(UGMC), construction of Kotoka International Airport Terminal Three, construction of the Circle interchange, construction of the Dodowa Government hospital, Ridge hospital, Bank of Ghana hospital, the SSNIT hospital, construction of major roads, among many others were the evidences that will propel the former president to a resounding victory in the impending General elections.
