As Ghana celebrates Nkrumah Day, photos of Princess Fathia, the granddaughter of Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, have surfaced on the internet.
In Ghana, the 21st of September is a national holiday.
The event, known as Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day formerly founder’s day, honours Ghana’s first President and leader of the independence struggle, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Dr. Nkrumah opposed the British colonial authority and never stopped fighting until they were expelled and Ghana became an independent constitutional republic.

The celebration was originally known as “Founder’s Day,” but it was renamed by the NPP government.
