A social media fanatic has admonished pastors to pay gospel musicians who minister their songs in their churches during their services.
He made the argument that gospel musicians pay money to enable them to record their songs and so the pastors do not have to always expect them to perform for them for free in their churches.
Many gospel musicians have long complained that when they perform in churches, all they receive from pastors is often a ‘thank you’ and nothing else.
For Nana Kwame Elvis, who made this call on Facebook, these ministers need to be paid as they do not record their songs for free.
“Pay gospel musicians when they minister in your church. They didn’t use anointing oil to record their songs, they paid money so pay them,” Nana Kwame Elvis said.
