We Have Rejected Independent Candidate – People Of Assin South Constituency Vow

Following the Statement made by the President Nana Akufo-Addo the Flag-bearer leading the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the December 7 Polls that Ghanaians should “Reject NPP Members Contesting As Independent Parliamentary Candidates”, who further admonished Ghanaians to vote against Independent Candidates in the parliamentary elections and must not tolerate those who profess to be NPP members, but do not believe in the party’s ideologies and principles, “We the Members of NPP in Assin South Constituency have decided to obey as instructed by the President and our leader to Do” NPP Supporters in Assin South Vow.

Speaking to the media, they said “We respect President Akufo-Addo and we have see how massively he’s performing together with our hardworking Member of Parliament, Hon. Rev John Ntim Fordjour. We can’t Disobey him as Cautioned and Vote for Any independent Candidate who couldn’t wait till his/her Time to come” We only Know President Akufo-Addo and Hon. Rev John Ntim Fordjour. They Insisted.

Assin South NPP supporters further made the point that Damtse is not law abiding and does not respect the President. That is why he is going contrary to the President’s advice to run as Independent Candidate.
Therefore they have decided to reject Damtse and vote massively for Hon Ntim Fordjour to continue his good works.

The people registered their confusion iminating from falsehood been spread by the independent candidate and his followers that he had been cleared and authorised by the president to contest along side the legitimate parliamentary candidate, Hon. Rev. Ntim Fordjour but the recent declaration by the president has given us the grounds to decide in favour of Rev. Ntim Fordjour as the legitimate candidate for the NPP.
