A Nigerian writer, and relationship coach, Akinbosola Ogunsanya has admonished people not to feel the least guilty about taking off people who have no positive thoughts for them in whatever that they do.
Most often, there are people around us who are just not in our favour, they tend to do so many things against us but for want of keeping the relationship going, we bottle everything and move on with them.
For Ogunsanya, though, toxic people should be removed from our lives, and it shouldn’t matter at all if those people are our family, close relationship partners, or acquaintances, as long as they are toxic and do not contribute to our course, we just need to take them out, and we shouldn’t be feeling guilty about such activity.
The writer made these comments on Twitter where he usually does his teaching.
He wrote:
“You don’t ever have to feel guilty about removing toxic people from your life. It doesn’t matter whether someone is a relative, romantic interest, employer, childhood friend, or a new acquaintance — you don’t have to make room for people who cause you pain or make you feel less.”
