The NDC team has raised concerns on state-owned Ghana Publishing Company who are to publish ballot papers.The National Democratic Congress believes David Asante, who is the CEO has a soft spot for the NPP, for this reason, there might be a conflict of interest.
The deputy General Secretary for NDC, Peter Boamah Otokunor, told host Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin that the NDC have issues with the publishing house. More to the point, the CEO for the same firm printing ballot papers for the 2020 elections is a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party.
He indicated that, it will be difficult for transparency and neutrality to be exercised. And if care is not taken might dent the credibility of the election verdict.
One of the pannel members during the panel discussion on the show, a former Municipal Chief Executive for Obuasi, Kwasi Ofori Agyemang, said this is quite an uncomfortable situation for the NDC. He suggested to he only option is that, the agents will have to be smart and attentive during the ballot paper printing.
