Ghana forward Kevin Prince Boateng has disclosed that the ‘craziest’ game of his career was at Milan, when he came off the bench to help the Rosenerri’s to a comeback win against Lecce.
Milan were trailing 3-0 at half time before the Ghana international was introduced into the game in the second stanza.
Boateng spearheaded a great comeback that saw Milan winning the game 4-3. He scored twice in that game.
According to Boateng, he was told he was not a professional a week before the game and was relegated to the bench, so he had to prove his worth in that match.
“I made two discreet goals. The week before I was told that I was not professional and they put me on the bench,” he told Sky Sports.
“Braida was probably also right. I was very angry. Lecce makes the 3-0 at the end of the first half and then I warm up with Aquilani and he tells me that a miracle was needed, and I jokingly told him that I would take care of it.
“Then we won 4-3 and I scored a hat trick, he told me I’m crazy. In Braida I didn’t say anything, the answer came on the field: it’s always more beautiful when you answer like this “.
