I was not invited to Criss Waddle’s concert – King Promise breaks silence
Following rapper Criss Waddle’s assertion that the singer purposefully skipped his gig, King Promise has come under fire on social media, trending at the top of the Twitter list.
Waddle criticized King Promise and R2bees for appearing on Gyakie’s show while ignoring his invitation in a series of Snapchat stories.
In response to the action taken by the group he has always backed, he wrote: “So yesterday R2bees go Gyakie en show them no come amg connect concert.”
However, King Promise claims that he was never invited to the performance, which is why he wasn’t seen at the venue or performing on stage.
The singer of “Iniesta” explained his side of the incident in an interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz FM. He claimed that the singer never extended an invitation, and that he had another obligation on the same day.
“I wasn’t invited to Criss Waddle’s concert. Even if I was, I had other engagements. But I heard the event went well and I am happy it did,” King Promise is quoted by Hitz FM to have said.
On December 17, the same day Waddle and rapper Medikal conducted their AMG Connect in Tema Community 9, King Promise and the musical duo R2bees attended Gyakie’s musical event called “PartyLiveWithGyakie.”
Waddle said in one of his articles that King Promise’s management had been rejecting his plea for a working relationship with the musician.
“Now I understand why me and king promise our song never happen G @kilbeatz ghl dier you tomorrow way I go talk my matter,” his Snapchat post read.
Waddle questioned King Promise’s administration in a different post: “@ohene faruku u still Dey manage king promise? So u watch promise go perform for Gyakie en show under way u no fit tell am say bro make we pass Waddle and Medikal their show under for 5 minutes them too be family?”
