The traders in Kumasi-Kejetia express worry about how the rise in commodity prices impacts their livelihoods as a whole.

According to them in an interview with Boss News, “This year’s things are excessively pricey, unlike previous year’s pricing, since they have raised the prices.If you bought anything for 5cedis last year, know that you’ll be paying 7cedis this year.And the marketing is so bad that people are at the market but do not buy anything.”

Some people believe that this year will be more tough than last year, while others believe that when comparing prior years’ commodity prices to this year’s, last year’s are nothing like this year.Last year’s statistics were exceedingly expensive; however, expenses have decreased this year, thanks to Almighty, but the market is not running well.

“This year is some how better than last year, but the only issue is the declining of the market.Because, even comparing the price of oil this year to last year’s, this year is better,yet still we don’t have any idea if the reduction has something to do with the election.”A woman said.

“Both last year and this year, there’s no differences,let just say last year was even better than this year.Because; for this year,it is unspeakable;even if you used hundred cedis for an item, you won’t get change.The nation is in hardship,to the extend that,even if you buy food and eat you won’t be satisfied.”A man stated.
